Description
Buck mother of pearl gold vein lapis ranger pocket knife — this one is a true Painted Pony prototype built on the classic Buck 112 Ranger frame. Michael Prater dressed this piece in premium materials: genuine Mother of Pearl, Gold Vein Lapis, and Turquoise, all fit in tight, high-polish panels that really show off under display lighting. The nickel silver bolsters are engraved, and the spine, backspring, and liners are fully fileworked in the traditional Painted Pony style collectors look for.
The blade is Buck’s BOS heat-treated S30V stainless clip point, giving this custom the performance to match the looks. The reverse of the blade is marked with the Painted Pony logo, signature, and “PROTOTYPE,” confirming this is not a mass-production piece. At 4 3/4″ closed, it’s the perfect size for a display case, high-end Buck roll, or safe queen status.
Comes brand new in the original Painted Pony custom packaging with Certificate of Authenticity. If you collect Buck 110 / 112 customs, Painted Pony, or Wild Horse style gemstone inlays, this one checks all the boxes — rare build, premium materials, prototype status, and elite fit and finish.
