Description
Crafted in Solingen, the Boker M4 Sherman Damascus Barlow blends WWII heritage with modern German precision. In collaboration with the Wartime Museum in Virginia, Boker sourced authentic M4 Sherman tank steel that master smith Chad Nichols hand-forged into an 80-layer Ladder-pattern Damascus blade reminiscent of tank tracks. The traditional Barlow profile keeps things compact and pocketable while honoring one of the oldest pocket-knife patterns.
This gentleman’s slipjoint opens by nail nick and features a 90° safety detent during open/close. Burlap Micarta handle scales deliver warm grip and period-evoking tones, contrasted by CNC-milled stainless steel bolsters finished by hand. At 2.44″ blade length and 5.91″ overall, it’s a versatile daily companion and a meaningful display piece.
Each knife is individually serialized and handmade in the Boker Manufactory. Packaging includes a high-quality felt storage case and a certificate of authenticity. For collectors who value story, materials, and execution, this piece unites battlefield history with living craft.
If you’re building a themed collection—or want one grail that stands on its own—the Barlow format, Nichols Damascus, and historic steel make a rare combination.
