Hand-fired Platts Jig Yellow Bone handles, engraved nickel silver bolsters, fileworked liners and a worked backspring turn the classic Case XX Barlow into a true collector’s piece, finished with scrolled Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades.

Hand-fired Platts Jig Yellow Bone is the heart of this knife. Platts jigging gives the bone a pronounced texture, and the hand-fired treatment adds depth, warmth, and individual character to the yellow color. Because each pair of covers is fired by hand, no two knives in the run look exactly alike.

The Barlow is one of the oldest and most familiar American pocket knife patterns, known for its long bolsters and sturdy frame. At 3 1/2 inches closed, it is compact and easy to carry, and the long bolsters give the engraving plenty of room to show.

The custom work continues throughout the build. Engraved nickel silver bolsters frame the bone with polished contrast, the liners are fileworked, and the backspring is worked along its length.
