Description
The autumn bone muskrat knife from Case XX is an exceptionally rare 2005 release under the C. Platts’ Sons Family Brands line, produced in limited numbers for serious collectors. With premium ATS-34 stainless steel blades and unique jigged bone handles, this muskrat captures both the history and craftsmanship of Case.
Its autumn-colored Platts jigged bone handles provide a warm, traditional look, accented by nickel silver bolsters and the distinctive Platts-style shield. Brass liners and pins add strength and durability, while the muskrat pattern itself offers two long clip blades — ideal for both function and display.
The master blade bears the tang stamp “C. Platts’ Sons” with 5 X’s, dating the knife to 2005. At 3 7/8 inches closed, it offers a comfortable size for pocket carry while retaining its collector’s appeal. This knife was produced with ATS-34 blade steel, a high-performance stainless alloy prized for edge retention and durability, making it an especially desirable variation.
Each knife comes mint in its original engraved wood presentation box, adding to its collector value. Never used, carried, or sharpened, the autumn bone muskrat knife represents a rare opportunity to own a piece of Case XX and C. Platts history.
