Description

The wild horse mammoth razor barlow is a one-of-a-kind J. Kidd creation that combines prehistoric material, Damascus steel, and intricate hand craftsmanship on the distinctive Case XX Razor Barlow pattern. Individually signed and numbered #1 of only 1 made, this singular Wild Horse Custom pairs an extraordinary material combination with absolute production rarity.

The centerpiece of the knife is its 20,000-year-old Black Cross-Cut Mammoth Fossil, sourced from the Siberian permafrost in Russia. The dark prehistoric material displays natural patterning and visual character developed across thousands of years, while contrasting inlays of White Turquoise and Black Atlante Pearl add further depth to the handle design. Polished to an exceptional shine, the combination gives the wild horse mammoth razor barlow a dramatic presentation worthy of its one-of-a-kind status.

J. Kidd’s craftsmanship continues throughout the frame with intricately engraved nickel silver bolsters, an engraved backspring, and meticulously fileworked liners. A patterned Damascus steel blade provides another layer of visual complexity, complementing the prehistoric handle material and detailed metalwork while preserving the distinctive profile of the Razor Barlow.

At 3 7/8 inches closed, the Razor Barlow provides a substantial traditional frame for the combination of Mammoth Fossil, exotic inlays, Damascus steel, engraving, and filework. The knife is individually signed and numbered by J. Kidd, owner and knife artist of Wild Horse Custom Knives, documenting its absolute rarity as the only example produced.

Presented in a High-End Exotic Bubinga Wood Display Case with Certificate of Authenticity, the wild horse mammoth razor barlow is a centerpiece-level collector piece. Its combination of 20,000-year-old Black Cross-Cut Mammoth Fossil, White Turquoise, Black Atlante Pearl, Damascus steel, extensive hand embellishment, and uncompromising #1 of 1 rarity makes it an exceptional example of J. Kidd’s Wild Horse Custom work.
