Description
The case mammoth russlock knife is a highly collectible factory limited edition that showcases one of Case XX’s premier combinations of traditional craftsmanship and innovative design. Manufactured in 2006, this exceptional RussLock pairs genuine 20,000-year-old Mammoth Bark Fossil with one of Case’s most distinctive one-hand opening patterns, resulting in a knife prized by collectors of rare modern Case releases.
Its genuine Mammoth Bark Fossil handles exhibit rich natural coloration, rugged texture, and unique organic character developed over thousands of years. Every set of fossil scales is naturally unique, ensuring each knife possesses its own individual appearance. Polished nickel silver bolsters complete the classic presentation while highlighting the extraordinary prehistoric handle material that defines the case mammoth russlock knife.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER from Case: The handles of this case knife are crafted from fossilized Mammoth Ivory mined from the permafrost of Siberian Russia. The Mammoth, an ancestor to the modern Elephant first roamed the Earth some 4 to 5 million years ago, and became extinct between 12 and 40 thousand years ago. Because this handle has been underground for thousands of years, there may be large variations in color or surface finish. Fossil Mammoth Ivory handles may have lines, fissures or other imperfections that are inherent in this material and should not be considered as defects.
Measuring 4 1/4 inches closed, this RussLock features a Tru-Sharp surgical stainless steel one-hand opening Clip blade, combining modern convenience with traditional Case styling. Produced in a strictly limited run of only 250 pieces, this knife represents one of the more desirable Mammoth Bark Fossil factory offerings and is especially sought after by collectors of the RussLock pattern.
This knife is new, never used, carried, or sharpened, and has remained safely stored since originally purchased. It comes housed in a replacement Case XX Black Felt Jewel Box. Proudly made in Bradford, Pennsylvania, USA, the case mammoth russlock knife is an outstanding addition to any advanced Case XX collection, combining prehistoric materials, innovative design, and exceptional rarity.
