About the Maker
Bill Ruple
Bill has been making knives since 1988 and serves on the board of directors of the Texas Knifemakers and Collectors Association. He specializes in multi-blade folders. He prefers to do only slip joints, however does make some locking folders by request. His first love is reproducing some of the older patterns made by the early knife companies, but makes more “modern” looking knives as well.” Bill has always been willing to share his knowledge of knifemaking with others, in person at his shop, or at many other venues. He has taught many other makers such as; Rusty Preston, Luke Swenson, Tom Ploppert, Phil Jacob, Bubba Couch, Toby Hill, and Enrique Pena. Bill was inducted into The Blade Magazine Cutlery Hall Of Fame in 2022.
